After hosting the "Safe Driving" event on Sunday, March 26th, a project aimed at preventing road accidents and promoting responsible driving, the Historical Museum of Firefighters and the Italian Red Cross in Manfredonia had the pleasure and honor of hosting a stop of the "Gargano CRI Green Camp 2023", organized by the Italian Red Cross - Manfredonia Committee.
Yesterday afternoon, 30 young people aged between 14 and 17 were the protagonists of a rich program of recreational and cultural activities focused on sustainability and "green" issues, entirely dedicated to promoting awareness of environmental topics, sustainability, and road safety, a crucial theme for our Capitanata region, which has recorded the highest number of accidents in the region in the first half of this year.
Monday's event was characterized by the important participation of the Italian Red Cross Manfredonia Committee, which owns the project, P.A.S.E.R., the Carabinieri Association, and the Manfredonia Local Police, who demonstrated great efficiency in handling a simulated road accident intervention before the interested eyes of all the Green Camp participants who had previously visited the museum and played, guided by the skilled and expert Gloria Pivotto.
The participation in the mini-course on fire prevention and fighting, led by expert Umberto Brigida from Euroambiente, and the first aid course, expertly conducted by the Italian Red Cross Manfredonia Committee, was significant.
The partnership undertaken with the Italian Red Cross Manfredonia Committee has been a source of great pride for us at the museum and a tangible sign of the important work that we, together with Euroambiente, are carrying out in the field of risk prevention in living and working environments.
