Sunday 02 August 2026: Pompieropoli is back, the great festival of little heroes

On Sunday 02 August 2026, by huge popular demand and after the sold-out previous dates, the event families look forward to most returns to Manfredonia: Pompieropoli!

The Museo Storico dei Pompieri e della Croce Rossa Italiana opens its doors once again for a special day dedicated to those who missed the past editions and to everyone who wants to relive the thrill of being a firefighter for a day.

A welcome fit for true rescuers

The adventure begins at 10.00 am with a warm welcome. Our little aspiring heroes will dive straight into the heart of the mission with the kitting-up ritual.

Your Mission: Complete training

The Pompieropoli course is designed to test the participants' courage and agility across several operational areas:

• Field training: Activities in 3 play areas with routes of increasing difficulty;
• Tradition and play: Tug of war, sack race, hula hoop and basketball in the play area equipped with an inflatable fire station;
• Real action: The trial by fire, putting out a real blaze using fire extinguishers;
• Historical memory: Souvenir photos on the legendary Willys Jeeps in front of the Twin Towers Attack set, and fun snapshots in the little theatre.

In addition, families will be guided on an immersive guided tour led directly by the museum's founder, to discover the secrets of a collection unique in the world.

Moments of Relaxation and Spectacle

During the event the Firefighter's Café (with over 100 seats) will be open, where a welcome coffee will be offered to everyone at the start, while you admire the spectacular exhibition of the Canadair aircraft and helicopters, enjoying a relaxing moment between one mission and the next.

Prizes and Awards

At the end of the activities, every child will receive the well-deserved reward for the courage they have shown:

• The official Little Firefighter Certificate;
• The 3D Model: A rigid 60x40 cm card to take home and build the Fire Brigade's turntable ladder truck together with mum and dad.
